I like to start sketching as a team with a few playful drawing exercises to help disarm any impending fear of judgement when it comes to sketching in a group. And it helps drive home the point that skill level is irrelevant here. Solving our user’s problems is our focus.

My focus was creating intuitive patterns and behaviors for the user. I wanted the user to access the content they needed as efficiently as possible. I wanted to ensure that the content was organized well and the dashboard display everything the user needed to know at a glance.

High Fidelity Sketching
At this stage I have a good idea of the desired patterns and content. Expressing them in higher fidelity allowed me to discover room for improvements. I was able to leverage them for early user testing as well.
